Here's the thing with Kazooie: Her canon consists of many connections. She may have not personally MET people, particularly outside of Rare canon, but there's no saying that she's never at least heard of them. (connection examples Kazooie is Banjo's best friend. Banjo used to be in a team of racing punks with Conker and Diddy Kong, Diddy is BFFs with Donkey Kong, who's had beef with Mario, who beats up turtles and rescues Peach, who go-karts with Princess Daisy that got kidnapped by a purple pointy-eared alien that transformed into Waluigi for vengence through Tennis Donkey Kong, blablabla).

While Kaz IS a fourth-wall breaker (She pretty well knows that she is a video game character and will never be as famous as Mario), what I want to do is translate that in-game to basically her knowing about people and places through either her connections, or through the media, namely internet. Seriously, what IS she going to do in her spare time while isolated with a bear in the middle of nowhere when she has so MUCH of that spare time?

Pokemon is probably too big of a subject for her though. She may have heard about children ridding their regions of Team Whateverthefucks, but other than that, anything yellow is a Pikachu to her. For now.

This is where you come in. Are you a famous hero where you come from? A famous villain? or a well-known figure that accomplished some sort of feat. Or maybe you're just a douchebag with a loud presence on the internet that extends outside of Smash Network!

Can Kazooie know you exist? copy this over when you reply.
Keep in mind that Banjo has access to this information, too. Thank you!

(totally stole this form from Carbon)

I'll let her break fourth walls about more minor things as they come along. Right now I can't think of anything yet.

Kaz's persimmons:
OOC:
Backdating: Expect a lot from me. I can't just go around being a hypocrite about it.
Threadhopping: If I don't mark a thread as "PRIVATE" or "SOD OFF", then you are free to hop it.
Fourth walling: Bring it.
Offensive Subjects: I've no problems with this.

IC:
Hugs: She might not take it well, but go ahead.
Kisses: She won't take it well, and her beak might hurt you, but go ahead.
Flirting: Totally acceptable, but she may give you a swift kick in the emotions afterward.
Fighting: both sparring and attempts at her life are welcome. Bring it.
Injury: Double check with me OOC to make sure I can fit her injuries/recoveries into later plans I have with other muns. Otherwise, I'm okay with this.
Death: Let's ask Leon!
Sex/Rape: Nothing beyond makeouts and foreplay if a situation calls for it (preferably in human form), BUT WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?
Telepathy/Mind Reading/Mind Control: Bring it. Chances are, if such a log happens, there will be notes on how it's played out, so I have no comments about this at present.
Hacking: If a private post isn't marked "DON'T HACK", then you are free to hack it, but Kazooie is such a boring country girl so why would you bother?

In-Character Information

Name: Kazooie The Breegull
Game/Series: Banjo-Kazooie
Teacher/Student/Other: Student
Canon Point: Fresh after Tooie.
Age: Twenty
Grade Level/Class Taught/Job: First Year
Dorm or Living Arrangement: Dorm

Personality:
At first glance, Kazooie comes off as smart-mouthed, sarcastic, and unapproachable unless you're out for a diss war, you're desparate for something, or you're persistant enough to get through to her. She doesn't have a care in the world if that's offensive to you, but then again, most people she's spoken to back home just move on with the conversation rather than stop her to comment on what a huge jerk she is. She also resorts often to namecalling, which can even extend to friends and those helping her out, but it was generally accepted with her neighbors, and many times, came with counter-insults and everyone has a good time. Over there. We can't say for sure if it'll be the same at Smash.

It's not to say Kazooie doesn't have a heart, however. She will get the job done if she's needed for help (sometimes for a small fee of a collectible item) and she acknowledges who her friends are, turning to them whenever she herself is in need of help and standing up for them when necessary (again, usually for something in return). She can be nice, and overall, she really is a kind-hearted person. Maybe she will cough up an insulting nickname along the way when attempting to talk nice, but it's not like she has any malicious intentions on anyone. Go ahead and try to be her friend. Just don't take her remarks too personal. Or maybe you should if you want THAT kind of CR with her.

Then there's Banjo. They coexisted as best friends in Spiral Mountain for many years and no matter what happens with her, Banjo's the one she knows she could turn to. There's also Tooty that she's pretty okay with. At least unlike the lazy bear, his little sister likes to go out for adventures and excitement. To Kazooie, it's a crime to not like exciting adventures or challenges. Not that Banjo didn't enjoy it at all, but getting him out of bed sometimes was a chore.

The circumstances for a challenge is where Kazooie shines the most. Whether it's traveling to new places, learning new ways to access the inaccessible, or solving a puzzle, she embraced it, and with Banjo by her side (or with her in his backpack), they both succeeded. Surely, she can't imagine a life where nothing happens for a very long time. She does get lazy when there's nothing to act upon and will just play video games or something. Lounging around is totally okay, too, but if something needs to be done, then it's time to go.

As for how she will adjust in this school? Let’s just say she’s already became accustomed to large places, giant hands, dead people, critters of all sorts, transformations, magic, freak accidents, and lectures from boring tutors As any of Smash’s crazier situations begin to happen, she may look at it as something that won’t surprise her, but she really has no idea of what she’s truly getting into.

Backstory:
Once upon a time, a young cub named Banjo found an egg and brought it home for breakfast. A tiny red bird soon hatched from that egg, and the cub made a vow to take care of it. The bird was named Kazooie.

The two have grown up to be best friends over the years that could always rely on each other for anything. Pretty soon, Banjo had a little sister to look after, and then they became a trio. It would have been a pleasant thing to see, except as Kazooie got older, she seemed to have a different definition of "being nice" from the bears. It didn't so much affect their relationship with her, but socializing with other people was a different story.

The three, at some point lived on their own together in a small shack at the foot of Spiral Mountain- the girls being energetic and excitable over the concept of adventures and exploring and Banjo being a slow, lazy bear that liked to sleep a lot. All was pretty good, though. Nobody even gave notice to the ugly witch head carved at the nearby mountain, or maybe they just shrugged it off every morning.

One day, Tooty went out in hopes the trio will set out on an adventure together when an evil witch named Gruntilda swooped down from her lair and snatched the little bear away! When Banjo and Kazooie dashed out of the house, they were confronted by Tooty's friend Bottles, who told them about what happened, and introduced the duo to some moves that would make use of having a bird inside that backpack of his.

Up spiral mountain they treaded and into Gruntilda's completed lair which gave them access to so many lands outside the caved-in Spiral Mountain (and thus, their lives were no longer so introverted). They collected jiggies, helped mindless idiots, and made their way to the top of Grunty's tower where the bear and bird faced and defeated the witch. Tooty was saved, they had a barbecue and beach party with their new friends Mumbo and Bottles, and Gruntilda was buried under a boulder.

More adventures came after this. Six months later, Kazooie was kidnapped this time. Gruntilda, whose soul was put in a robot, had plotted to go back in time and prevent Banjo and Kazooie from ever meeting. The plan was pretty flawed as B and K's past versions were never found, but Gruntilda used all the breegulls she found to build what became her lair in Spiral Mountain today. Of course, Kaz was rescued by Banjo and they both saved the day, but failed to keep Grunty's Lair from existing if it was truly made from Grunty going back in time. Her soul was returned to her corpse.

Then another 18 months later, Gruntilda was freed as a skeleton and had a plot to suck the life out of Spiral Mountain and Jinjo Town with her sisters' machine to fully revive her. Bottles was killed from an ambush and the Jinjo King had the life sapped out of him. Again, things were looking more serious but of course this means Banjo and Kazooie had to do something about it. (Good thing Tooty wasn't around to see the madness!). This adventure took them through Jinjo Village and into the Isle O' Hags where Gruntilda and her sisters were fixing their life sucking machine at the top of their tower. There was no doubt that B and K were able to save the day, and they used the machine to revive Bottles and the King Jingaling as well. They celebrated with a rousing game of kickball with Grunty's skull as the ball.

For a while, there was peace back home in Spiral Mountain. It was just Kazooie and Banjo in the house while Tooty had … left somewhere. While it seemed like they’ve often been isolated this whole time aside from whenever Gruntilda stirred something up, they did have a good network of friends to keep in contact with, both local and distant. At one point, Banjo had some racing buddies, and this introduced him and Kazooie to more connections, such as Conker and his girlfriend Berri. With Diddy Kong as one of the other racers, they also knew about the adventures of Donkey Kong, the situations he had with Mario, and Mario’s fame for saving Peach (though surely, she’s never met Mario or Peach personally before). Banjo may think differently, but for Kaz, she had a world of connections, all tied together in one way or another, and this provided lots of information about what’s outside of Spiral Mountain. It was through these connections that she and the bear had learned about Smash Academy. Sure there was information about the location, the education, and the warm faculty, but what really caught her attention was that it was a prestigious fighting school, probably full of competitive loonies. Kazooie was almost pretty confident that Gruntilda couldn’t come back to mess things up anymore, but wouldn’t it be great if she and Banjo learned all sorts of new moves and be ready just in case the witch ever DOES return? Wouldn’t it be great if they could make their old moves tutor Bottles and his family extremely jealous?

The answer is yes.

The duo’s resident shamans Mumbo Jumbo and Humba Wumba had provided them with magical talismans (not the floppy disks used in the Gargoyles show) that would allow them to change their forms into Pokemon should the need arise. They always had to transform into things in the past, so of course this was a very important deal and neither shaman has a hut in the city. It seemed as though both of them would take off to Final Destination City but for reasons best explained by Banjo‘s mun himself, Kazooie went ahead, and found herself flying solo (at least to the nearest form of enchanted public transport) to Smash Academy.

Anything Else?:
.I will have a permissions post where everyone can, if they wish, allow Kaz to know information about their characters. It would basically be canon feats or prominent features of heroes and villains that are moderately famous (like Mario saving Peach or Sonic or something). She doesn’t know any personal or secret info on anyone, and she knows next to nothing about those Pokemen everything is a Pikachu to her. If I don’t have a player’s permission for such information on a character, Kaz will not canonly mention anything.

If/Once we get a Banjo in the game, their goldfish Roysten will be their shared NPC. No piñatas this time.

In-Character 1st person sample:
This is a very silly-looking hotel. I haven't seen so many hearts or so much red since childrens' valentines cards; I would have brought some glue and glitter jars if I knew I was going to wind up here for the night. I can't help but see this room being used for doing adult things in a children's art class assembled by very lonely young individuals with crushes they will never confront. So much for growing up.

I don't have any plans for tonight except for renting movies on the telly. All I see on the program list is "The Room," though. Is it quality entertainment or something best avoiding? I know it's bad, but is it a quality kind of bad?

- Errands done today: -
1. Collected 25 towels for the tired maid.
2. Recovered a lost gym badge on the third floor
3. Delivered toys to five rooms (each guest wanted a specific toy but the gift shop clerk messed up the orders) (You don't need to know what they are)

- Incomplete errands -
1. Retrieve refunds for the five toys (the gift shop is closed until tomorrow).

In-Character 3rd person sample:
Her belongings were flung across the room, hitting the wall and dropping to the empty desk. It was just a shopping bag with mostly convenience store food from her travels, as this avian never found herself too cozy with carrying a lot of items in a bag unless someone else was carrying it and she was in the bag with the items. Kazooie was a little bit disappointed that classes weren’t starting yet, but it only made this a good time to get to know the locals and explore around more. The stadium is accessible without having to collect a bunch of anything to go inside; it just doesn’t get much better than that. The fact that the school was run by giant hands didn’t even faze her (she has met a giant ghost hand before). Master Hand was even pretty chill when enrolling her into the school on such spur of the moment. She didn’t meet Crazy Hand yet, but the name probably implies that he must be a shaky caffeine addict who throws house parties when Headmaster Slappy is gone.

The day was already half gone and the past two minutes she just spent in her new dorm felt like she was already wasting too much time. She had to hurry up and pick up her uniforms and video feed equipment so she could head to the stadium. There’s going to be some target-breaking sessions later and she wanted in on it.

Before leaving, however, she looked at the more lived-in side of the dorm that belonged to her roomate. Kazooie had to wonder what kind of roomate she was getting, because it certainly wasn't going to be Banjo. Maybe it'll be like those reality shows where drama happens from lumping strangers into living together. The drama could be all be archived in a personal journal and become a bestseller when published. If they DID get along easy peasy, though, maybe it would become a childrens' series that portray sharing and friendship as magic. Kaz has a journal in any case, and she's going to make use of it.

She can't deny being a little nervous going about life solo for a while in a faraway place, but she can take care of herself.

The door slammed behind her as she bolted out of her room.
